Of all the body pains you experience, knee pain is one of the most frustrating.
When pain and stiffness start to build in your knee, you will find your movement becomes limited. This can affect any level of fitness – from going for a run to enjoying a round of golf and even comfortably getting up and down the stairs in your house.
If your knee pain has started to impact your daily routine – and painkillers aren’t helping it to subside – it’s gone beyond a niggle that will go away in its own time.
You don’t need to accept knee pain as part of the “wear and tear” of aging.
Private physiotherapy can find the source of your knee pain, and then create a plan to treat it – so you can get back to your favourite activities without a moment’s thought.
We see a lot of clients struggling with knee pain at our Hamilton physiotherapy clinic – so our team knows exactly how to treat it.
When you choose private physiotherapy, you say goodbye to long waitlists for an appointment and lists of generic exercises that don’t improve your situation.
At Hamilton Physiotherapy, we focus on outcome over intervention. Your first appointment is always an in-depth consultation, so we can understand what aggravates your pain and determine its source. Then, we will create a personalised treatment plan with clear actions and milestones for when you will start to feel better.
The result? You start tackling your knee pain immediately so you can get your energy and mobility back.

The initial excersises David asked me to carry out proved to be quite difficult, but slowly after some grim determination and encouragement I now find them fairly easy and quite enjoyable. I can now sleep better at night and most of all pain free. I would not hesitate to recommend David to anyone. kenneth burt2025-05-09Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. David helped me with my neck and back problems (20+ years of working in the office resulting in bad posture & bad habits). He diagnosed and addressed the issues with a set of exercises that I've added to my daily (and gym) routine. The posture issues, neck and back pains are now gone, and my golf has improved as well! I would highly recommend David's service. Marek Kalwasinski2025-03-10Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. David helped me with my lower back problem. He was very friendly, professional, informative and thorough. Thanks to David now I know what to do should my back problem comes back again in the future - hopefully not for a very very long time. All the hints and tips and exercises that David shared were all very helpful. putri hirota2025-02-20Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I hurt a joint in my back at an exercise class just a few days before my ski holiday and needed treatment at short notice. I saw David as an emergency and after just 2 sessions, supported by great advice & follow up exercises, I was pain free and able to enjoy my ski trip. I went to David after seeing a doctor who referred me to the NHS clinic in Hamilton to see a physiotherapist. He told me I had strained the muscles in my lower back .if it did not get better in 6 weeks go back and see the doctor who would refer me again. Because of the pain I decided to see a private physio and after having a chat with David on the phone I made an appointment . The best thing i ever did . The first appointment he told me it wasnt my back it was my hip .He then explained what the issue was and showed me the structure of the hip and how the issue was occurring . At every appointment he made me feel very at ease .he gave me exercises to do at home and work which did get rid of the pain .A big thankyou BUAVOX . Tried osteopath a few times to no avail. David listened and diagnosed the problem quickly. After a few days I felt a massive improvement and after two visits I had no symptoms and completely pain free. Would highly recommend David. I had problems with one knee and the other ankle (!) and in a few months, he has made an enormous difference to both, especially my ankle. He is extremely sympathetic and encouraging and very easy to talk to. He gets to the root of the problem quickly and suggests exercises to help. He then sends the exercises in an email, with videos so that you can check that you are doing them correctly. The ones he gave me were relatively simple to remember and it was easy to do them on a regular basis, without getting fed up with the process, as has happened in the past. Go to him for all your aches and pains! Linda Ormiston2024-11-26Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.
