Meet David

Hi, I’m David

your Hamilton physio and the founder of Hamilton Physiotherapy.

Before setting up the clinic, I spent a decade working in the NHS. Throughout this time, I saw the limitations of public physiotherapy over and over again: appointment limits, restrictive care pathways, and never-ending waitlists.

I decided I wanted to see patients much earlier and help people like you live with less pain through personal treatment plans that get you back to doing the things that matter most to you.

You may never have tried physiotherapy before – but you don’t need to be afraid.

Together, we will chat about your situation, determine why you’re in pain, and create a plan to get you back to living a healthy and fulfilled life as quickly as possible.

Hamilton Physiotherapy was recommended to me by my Pilates teacher to expedite my recovery from a recent hip replacement. I had a fantastic experience. I found David to be very personable and extremely knowledgeable about all my aches and pains. With his leadership and coaching we put a plan in place covering 10 sessions over a number of months. One of the earliest benefits was the confidence David gave me on the day to day usage of my hip, which was a massive benefit. However our goal was to get me hill walking before the sessions finished and I am delighted to say I completed a Munro before my final session. I would recommend David for all your physiotherapy needs.

I attended one of Davids presentations. It was very informative and well presented. Giving a thorough brief on what causes joint pains and how to treat it. Very encouraging and i most definitely recommend him.

I've attended here for about 16 weeks, twice a week, for treatment for my neuropathy. And I have to say it's been a literal life changer! The stempod (i might have spelt that wrong) treatment was amazing coupled with physiotherapy. David is such a warm and welcoming person who made me feel at ease from the first appointment. I'd highly recommend!

Went to David after total knee replacement,a bit disheartened as my NHS physio said I would be stuck with a limp and little bend in my knee ,David not only has increased the bend but has also helped me walk again without a limp after 3 sessions,he has also given me great hope and confidence going forward ,I would totally recommend David to anyone

I have been going to David for a few months now and he is treating me for pain that the doctor told me was arthritis and after x-ray to shoulder and foot, no further action necessary! Now I have much less pain, doing the exercises David gave me with his guidance and help. I have attended two of David's workshops, always made welcome and have a better understanding of every day health issues. Thank you David and Robyn.

Very helpful and supportive physio. I had an issue with my ankle and over a few weeks we progressively added back stretches and exercises to combat the issue. I always felt listened to and the sessions were very relaxed but always focused. I don't want to need physio again but if I had to I would go back to here.

5 star treatment after misdiagnosis from NHS. David diagnosed a rotator cuff injury and we worked out a treatment plan. Within 2 sessions I felt a difference and was able to stop strong painkillers. After a course of treatments, I am off painkillers altogether and there had been massive difference in my injury. I would highly recommend Hamilton Physiotherapy to anyone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Physiotherapy FAQs

Should I see a private physiotherapist or just wait on the NHS?
Private physiotherapy means no waitlists, longer sessions, and a clear plan. You’re not limited to a handful of appointments, we work with you for as long as needed.
Physiotherapists aren’t doctors, but they are specialists in injuries, pain, and movement, making them the best people to help with musculoskeletal problems.
Many patients feel relief after their first session because they finally understand the cause of their pain and have a plan. The speed of recovery depends on your age, the severity of your issue, and your commitment to exercises.
Physiotherapy not only eases pain now, but strengthens your body, prevents recurrence, and improves your quality of life long term.
No. You can contact us directly and book an appointment without a GP referral.
We don’t believe in “no pain, no gain.” Some movements may cause short-lived discomfort, but treatment is designed to reduce pain, not increase it.
If you’re struggling with pain, stiffness, or weakness in your back, neck, shoulders, hips, knees, or joints, there’s a very high chance physiotherapy can help.
